Please complete the returns request form before returning any items to us.

We are confident that you will be delighted with your jewellery from Ethica Diamonds.  However, in the event that you need to return your order for refund or exchange, we have tried to make the process as simple as possible for you. Here’s what you need to know.

  1. We will accept returns and exchanges on most pieces (see below for exceptions*). Items must be returned in unworn condition within 14 days of receipt, and all paperwork must be returned as well. After 14 days, all sales are final.
  2. Your jewellery must not show any signs of wear or damage.
  3. The cost of returning unwanted items to us for a refund or exchange will be at the customer’s expense.
  4. For security reasons, do not write diamonds, jewellery or any other related words anywhere on the package. Please make sure to double box for protection.
  5. Please ensure the returned order is sent with adequate insurance, we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery. The Post Office will provide a suitable mailing bag with this service, just ask at the counter.
  6. Ethica Diamonds is not responsible for damage or loss in transit. If you do return an item to us, please get in touch with us after dispatch so we know it’s on its way. We are not responsible for packages until they are signed for.
  7. Since our designs are handcrafted and made especially for you, all returns or exchanges will incur a 10% restocking fee*. This fee covers the labour required to resize and polish the returned piece.
  8. We do not refund standard, international, or expedited shipping.


We are unable to offer exchanges or refunds on bespoke items or special orders. This means that we cannot provide refunds or exchanges on items that have been specially made to order for you, items that have been altered or personalised in any way, and products that are not featured on our website, but have been ordered specially at your request. Bespoke or specially ordered products may only be returned if the goods are faulty or were supplied incorrectly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

* Exceptions – These include all wedding bands, earrings, personalised engraved items, full diamond set bands and custom jewellery.


For items returned within 14 days, a restocking fee* will be deductible from the purchase price in addition to a £40.00 handling fee, (if free shipping was given at the time of purchase).


The jewellery that you wish to return for an exchange must arrive back to us within the 14 day approval period including paperwork and documentation, presentation box, outer box, and any other items returned in reusable condition.  The date that your order is scheduled for delivery is classified as the first day of approval.

  • For exchanges that are £100 or more than the original order value, we will cover the costs incurred for posting your exchanged order.
  • For exchanges that are equal to the original order value or less, a 10% restocking fee* will be levied against the exchanged credit for unworn items. Postage incurred for your exchanged order to be shipped, will be payable by you.

* Restocking Fee – If the items are worn, a higher fee may be levied than 10% of the order value dependent on the amount of work that is required so that we may re-sell the item. This cost includes, inspection, re-rhodium plating and/or polishing.
