RETURN YOR ORDER

Please complete the returns request form before returning any items to us.

We are confident that you will be delighted with your jewellery from Ethica Diamonds.  However, in the event that you need to return your order, we have tried to make the process as simple as possible for you. Here’s what you need to know.

  1. The jewellery that you wish to return for a refund must arrive back to us within the 30 day approval period in new, unworn condition. The date that your order is scheduled for delivery is classified as the first day of approval.
  2. Your jewellery must not show any signs of tampering or damage.
  3. All original provenance must be included: Original certification card and paperwork, the presentation box, presentation box protector, and any other items returned in reusable condition. Damaged items will be subject to a deduction against the exchange.
  4. The cost of returning unwanted items to us for a refund will be at your expense.
  5. For security reasons, do not write diamonds, jewellery or any other related words anywhere on the package. Please make sure to double box for protection.
  6. Please ensure the returned order is sent with adequate insurance, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery.
  7. Ethica Diamonds is not responsible for damage or loss in transit. If you do return something to us, please get in touch with us after dispatch so we know it’s on its way. We are not responsible for packages until they are signed for.
  8. Only one item can be returned per customer.

LIMITATIONS

Many of our jewellery items are bespoke, or customised (eg with engraving).  Earrings and items which are bespoke, engraved, altered, resized or damaged in any way, cannot be refunded, unless a genuine manufacturing fault is identified.

We do not refund standard, international, or expedited shipping. Since shipping is free on all purchases made in the UK, you will be refunded the purchase amount minus £25.00 for the original shipping, handling and packaging costs.

For worn items returned for refund within 30 days, a restocking fee of 15% is deductible from the purchase price in addition to the £25.00 shipping fee.  This covers the cost of inspection and re-rhodium plating and/or polishing so that we may sell it as a sale item.

EXCHANGING YOUR ORDER

In the event that you are not entirely satisfied with your order, and wish to exchange it for something else, we have tried to make the process as simple as possible for you. Here’s what you need to know.

  1. The jewellery that you wish to return for an exchange must arrive back to us within the 30 day approval period in a new and unworn condition. The date that your order is scheduled for delivery is classified as the first day of approval.
  2. A straight exchange can be made if an item is of equal value.  If the replacement item is of greater value, please contact us to arrange additional payment. Likewise, if the replacement item is of lesser value than the original purchase, a refund will be issued.
  3. Your jewellery must not show any signs of tampering or damage.
  4. All original provenance must be included: Original certification card and paperwork, the presentation box, presentation box protector, and any other items returned in reusable condition. Damaged items will be subject to a deduction against the exchange.
  5. The cost of returning unwanted items back to us, and sending items for exchange out to you, will be at your expense.
  6. If you purchased your order using a discount code, this will be honoured against your exchanged item/s.
  7. If the exchange value is more than £100 lower than the original order value, a charge of £25 will be made to cover the original postage and handling.

Discount – We will, of course, be happy to honour any discount that was applied to your original order against your exchanged item(s).

Personalised items – Items which are bespoke, engraved, altered, resized or damaged in any way, cannot be accept for exchange, unless a genuine manufacturing fault is identified.

Earrings – We understand that earrings are often bought as a gift, so we will honour an exchange on earrings that are returned within 30 days but the exchange value must be equal to or higher than the original order. The reason for this is because we will have to take these items back as demonstration stock, not resale stock. Refunds will of course be honoured in the event of a genuine manufacturing fault being identified.
